Tight group today of hard workin’ and coachable LBs. Everyone gotta ton of reps, everyone learned something about themselves over that 4 hours. Isn’t that what Nike Football is all about?
Dakota Conwell (Upper St. Clair, PA) – Athletic and operates in space better than anyone else at camp. Made a couple pics that were extraordinary! Coachable and eager to learn, definitely worth the investment – we will improve and get bigger!. Trusts his leverage in 1on1coverage, undercut some very tough routes.
Ernest Hawkins (Dunbar HS, Baltimore, MD) – Great athlete, keeps his feet underneath him. Started making some great reads and plays by the end of camp – breaking on the ball, even got a Pick-Smooth operator how can grow into a fine Will LB.
Jaylen Coleman (Peabody HS, Pittsburgh, PA) – Great hands and highly competitive, so eager to take his game to the next level too. Made plays in every facet of the camp and is a guy who leads from the front.
Kaiwan Lewis (St. Joseph School, Hammonton, NJ) – Surprisingly good speed for a man his size. Massive upper body and imposing presence – keep him on two feet, he just needs more reps. Strong and assertive hands – give him time, his feet will catch up. Probably can gain some weight in his lowr body too.
Honorable Mentions:
Evan Harvey (Dwyer HS, Palm Beach Gardens, FL) – Total leader, extremely twitchy with a noteworthy ability to close on the ball. Fjun guy to have out there – this kid is a competitor and is born to play LB!
Tyler Thompson (Linganore HS, Frederick, MD) – Great burst and competitive drive. Runs well downfield and finds ways to make plays in space. I’m sure he’s a beast in pads!
TJ Armstrong (Clarion Limestone HS, Strattenville, PA) – Very long-limbed and did some great things especially for a D-Line covert.
Abner Logan Jr. (Dexter School, Brookline, MA) – Total Mastodon! Plenty of raw ability, might blossom in the right collegiate environment
Evan Kappatos (Syosset, NY) – A true Mike LB in every sense, but he anaged to make plays in every facet of the game. Very coachable and had fun playing football with the boys, yes!!!
