Athletic group, fairly coachable and great in space – what did you expect we’re in Miami. Everyone out of this group made plays against really good competition. My apologies for missing some obvious future collegiate studs.

ALSO - For as hot as it was, these guys chopped a lotta wood for the whole 4hrs.

1. Keith Brown (Miami Norland, FL) – Great skill set and exceptional athleticism. He competes, he’s coachable he leads by example. With some big bodies in front of him, Brown can get to the alleys with ease – but he’s not defenseless against big blockers, plenty of pop in this guy’s hips. He does a fine job in space because of his football smarts and cat-like agility. Brown isn’t too shabby in 1on1 coverage either and is nearly unstoppable when rushing off the edge matched against an RB. Pretty sure fire top shelf signee – latest I heard was the “U.”
2. Patrick Jean (Treasure Coast, FL) – Mean as a rattlesnake – gotta love this guy’s attitude and demeanor. Jean has the most unbelievable reach I’ve seen from an LB, he’s like a linemen in this respect. His chest punch was stifling! Quick feet, moves with good angles, and covers ground well enough for the next level. When his hands get quicker and he puts on some muscle to fill his 6’3” frame, he’ll really start standing out.
3. James Burgess Jr. (Homestead, FL) – Absolutely phenomenal in 1on1 man coverage! Locked down and made picks against the top shelf of the running backs. Fastest of the group, especially when it comes to closing on the ball. If and when he delivers the same performance to other parts of his game, he could be the premier Will in the country.
4. Matthew Thomas (B.T. Washington) – Another freaky framed guy, plenty of potential to grow and improve. He only has a year of organized football under his belt; with more reps and coaching he will flourish and climb the ladder of the elite.

Honorable Mentions:

• Brian Nicholson (Miami Central) – Nice speed and change of direction
• Korey Robinson (Lehigh, FL) – Reminds me of Jean, not as aggressive but still a playmaker!
• Jerry Baker (Archbishop Carrol, FL) – Just starting to develop, excellent mobility and playmaking ability
• Evan Harvey (Dwyer, FL) – Lead from the front all day, hard worker, smartest player on the field. This guy puts in every drop – You can’t have 11 guys out there like him, but you need at least one
• Griffin Goings (Hollywood Hills, FL) – Prototype Mike, great pad-level, must be a nightmare when a tackle football game breaks out.
• Neptune Joseph (Braddock, FL) – Great feet and very coachable
• Mike Fleurinvil (Miramar, FL) – Best player all day long in Blitz Drill – unstoppable quickness and great use of his hands. Surprisingly quick!
