| After graduation, Coach Gizzi served the Air Force as an officer, football coach and recruiter at the Academy. During that time, he was also a member of the Denver Broncos on Military Reserve status. After serving the remainder of his active duty commitment to the Air Force, Coach Gizzi played with the Green Bay Packers from 2000-2001. A back injury ended his professional playing career prematurely and he transitioned from playing into coaching. | |
| Taking all the knowledge he has gained from years of playing and training at the highest level, Coach Chris Gizzi is using Zone Ready as the platform to share his eclectic approach with the world. He trains athletes in sports such as: football, volleyball, baseball, boxing, mixed martial arts, wrestling, rugby, Australian rules football, golf, triathlon, soccer, hockey, basketball, and surfing. He organizes and implements training programs and protocols for the Nike/SPARQ Combines, Speed Camps, and Football Training Camps. He has provided insight and consulted with elite organizations like the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Air Force Falcons. Coach Gizzi runs youth camps for young athletes ranging from 8-18 to increase athleticism and promote good health. He has coached abroad in Australia and China, as well as every corner of the United States. | |

Doug Gizzi grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended St. Ignatius High School were he was a two sport athlete (football and wrestling). Doug first began college at The Air Force Academy as a recruited football player. After his sophomore year, he transfered to the University of Colorado in Boulder, to finish his college studies. He graduated from CU in 2004 with a degree in Kinesiology.
Doug has worked with a wide variety of athletes ranging from individual professional and amateur athletes in addition to teams. The collection of sports Doug has worked with include: baseball, basketball, fast pitch softball, figure skating, football, freestyle skiing, golf, gymnastics, hockey, Irish jig dancing, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling.
Taking his knowledge gained by his education and experience working with athletes from the highest level to the amateur athlete, Doug is using Zone Ready to share his knowledge by creating high quality educational products to share performance training to fellow coaches and athletes.
